Samburu National Reserve trip

Samburu National Reserve is situated 350 kilometers North of Nairobi in Samburu County. It is one of the two areas in which conservationists George & Joy Adamson raised Elsa: the Lioness made famous in the bestselling book and award winning movie Born Free.
The reserve is also the home of Kamunyak, a lioness famous for adopting oryx calves. In the middle of the reserve, the Ewaso Ng’iro flows through doumpalm groves and thick riverine forests which provides water to the game in this arid region.
During the trip, we shall explore the reserves inspiring landscape where we expect to see some of the big five, Gerenuk, Reticulated Giraffe, Somali Ostrich, Grevy’s Zebra, Besia Oryx, and much more. Birdlife is prolific with over 450 species of birds recorded
